Numerous paintings by Werner Berg depict passangers in buses, depicted from the outside, and sketched in winter when hats, caps and headscarves with their excessive profiles allow for an additional play in contrast.  It appears as if by applying humour in reality, Berg  has yet again found his own compositional principle of lenience through graphic objects Berg cuts into the section of the painting. For instance, the child’s head, “circumsiced” from the edge of the painting compels the observer to enter head-on into the action of the painting itself.
